TV SHOW - 'Body Language Secrets: WINNING' - Review
Why is winning so important?
The drive to compete is who we are
We've evolved to compete for food, for mates, and status - winning is an inbuilt survival
Is there such a thing as good and bad luck?
- To test this they went to a casino and found that typically a lucky person is just someone who is incredibly positive (This positive mentality is what makes people 'winners')
When a winner is on a losing streak they will change their behaviour to try and be successful
On the unlucky table (Typically when someone who thinks their unlucky wins they think its an exception rather than the rule, this belief becomes self perpetuating ) Lucky and unlucky people tend to be just people with positive and negative mindsets.
If you want to be a winner you need to do your SWOT when an opportunity arrises (promotion, interview, sales pitch and so on)
Strengths -
Weaknesses - What i need to work on
Opportunities - Can i do some research, talk to someone in the business etc
Threats - What's gonna get in my way, lack of confidence more training etc
Rodger Federer had a weakness with his temper, which he over came it led him on to becoming a winner.
(Little victories can give you confidence and thats an essential piece of kit to a winners tool box)

10 putts with his eyes closed (This shutting off external distractions helps relax and simplifies the mind)
You need to work out which mindset works best for you, and when you find out or know this, the greater chances of success when you get yourself into that mind set. Whether in business making deals or playing golf.
Shutting out distractions and consquences will put you in the zone and can be the difference between success and failure
But to truly get what you want, you must see yourself vividly getting what you want in your minds eye.
To be a winner the most effective trick to learn is visualisation.
Imaginaing yourself doing something successfully before its actually happened makes you more likely to succed when you actually do it.
Going through an important interview in your head before can be the difference between success or failure

Martial Arts people:
When you visualise your creating new neuro creations in the brain, your helping your brain become better at performing a task without having to actually do it

Letting the feeling of defeat get the better of you will make you a loser, losing is natural but dwelling on it is likely to hold you back
No matter how hard you try to be a winner inevitability there will be times when you lose, but being a true winner means rising above those feelings of loss and fighting back
You've gotta put your loss into perspective, regroup, be realistic, learn from it and move forward.
